Fox News’ Bob Beckel is a sorry sap.
Beckel apologized on Twitter for calling Congressman Jason Chaffetz “a punk” on “The Five” Wednesday. Beckel hurled the insult during a segment spotlighting liberal hypocrisy over Chaffetz’s iPhone remarks and Ben Carson’s slavery comments.
During his unhinged rant, Beckel called Chaffetz a “punk.” Sensing he went too far (again), Bob apologized an hour after the show wrapped.
Went overboard on The Five today and called a Republican congressman a punk. It was not necessary and I regret it.

Chaffetz was slammed by liberal media for saying people have to prioritize healthcare in their budgets. And if that means doing without an expensive iPhone, so be it.
Deranged Shepard Smith spews more anti-Trump hate: Renewed calls for him to be FIRED
“Americans have choices, and they’ve got to make a choice,” Chaffetz said. “So rather than getting that new iPhone that they just love and want to go spend hundreds of dollars on, maybe they should invest in their own health care.”
Liberal media outlets immediately pounced on Chaffetz, even though former President Obama made similar comments in 2014. At a town hall, Obama gave the following in response to a man’s complaint that he can’t afford health insurance:
“What I would say is, if you looked at that person’s budget and you looked at their cable bill, their cell phone bill, other things that they’re spending on, it may turn out that they just haven’t prioritized health care,” Obama said. (see video starting at 2:55).
Since returning to “The Five” in January, Beckel has annoyed many loyal viewers with his unhinged leftist tirades.
In February, Bob got into a heated exchange with Tucker Carlson when he said President Trump “flat-out lied” while spotlighting Sweden’s migrant crime wave. Numerous reports have vindicated Trump’s position.
Beckel was fired in June 2015 after his self-admitted battles with alcoholism and drug abuse. His recent outbursts have caused many viewers to demand he be fired again.
Meanwhile, Bob Beckel got skewered on Twitter for his unprofessional jab at Jason Chaffetz.
