It was the biggest boo boo in Oscar’s history and liberals still found a way to interject race.
Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly announced that “La La Land” had won the “Best Picture” award only to reverse it and announce that it was actually “Moonlight,” with its mostly black cast, that won.
Some people blamed the Russians for hacking the awards, some wondered if Jill Stein was raising funds for a recount, and some used it to troll Hillary Clinton.
But others decided to troll white people who they believe didn’t deserve to win.
And the tweets were abhorrent hateful and racist.
Kimmel’s plan to bait Trump at the Oscars fails on so many levels; one awesome tweet leaves a mark
LMFAOOOOOO THE IMAGERY OF A BLACK CAST GETTING PROPERLY REWARDED AND WHITE PEOPLE GETTING THE FUCK OFF THE STAGE!!! ????????????

Bonnie and Clyde just tried to steal the Best Picture award for white people.

Moonlight winning Best Picture after La La land had already been announced is the best own on white people since OJ was acquitted.
— AtticusThomas (@AtticusThomas) February 27, 2017
FUN FACT there are no white people in Moonlight. Not even the extras. Not one white person. AND IT WON BEST PICTURE.
— WATCH MOONLIGHT (@SophiaMAbbott) February 27, 2017
Please tell me a bunch of white people are very upset about the best picture presentation last night.

Kinda grooving on the idea of a thousand white supremacists screaming as black filmmakers literally replace white ones onstage. #Oscars

Those white actors handing their Oscars over to the black actors who actually won them is gonna set Trump’s America on fire in the morning.

And some had conspiracy theories about why the flub happened.
BITCH WHERE ON THIS CARD DOES IT SAY LA LA LAND? They really fucking TRIED it I stg I’m glad Moonlight won but FURIOUS at the conspiracy. pic.twitter.com/cFXMuGqV8R

Anyone else think the #Oscars mixup was intentional to give the Best Picture win to POC but still keep the media talking about white people?

Me tryna figure out this La La Land/Moonlight Best Picture conspiracy theory y’all got going on pic.twitter.com/WbFSndvRN4

Including those that believed a “black movie” had to win after the #OscarsSoWhite protests a year ago.
Congratulations! Moonlight winning Best Picture this year. But is it a pure win or political correctness/correction fm 2016 #OscarsSoWhite?
— Marissa Anita (@MarissaAnita) February 27, 2017
Were the Moonlight cast members honored because they were the best, or because the #Oscars wanted to make up for #OscarsSoWhite?
