Kellyanne Conway addresses CNN story she was ‘sidelined’ by WH: Somebody’s trying to stir up trouble

Kellyanne Conway is unhappy with the “unfair coverage” and “presumptive negativity” the presidential administration has received from the press.

President Donald Trump’s senior counselor told Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity that her “grievance is really full coverage; we want the full story told.”

As an example she said that Trump has signed more than 20 executive actions in the month he’s been in office, but news media have only concentrated on the one that has garnered negative news coverage.

“He’s keeping all these campaign promises at a quick clip and he’s never a guy in a rush to do the wrong thing,” she said.

And it’s not just the president who’s being unfairly covered, it’s also the members of his administration — including herself.

CNN reported earlier Wednesday that the White House had sidelined Conway from TV appearances.

Hannity brought up the CNN story at about the four-minute mark into the interview, which was held in Washington, D.C. at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“How many days have you been booked on this show?” Hannity asked, refuting CNN’s claim. “You were never sidelined.”

“Yeah, I’m not,” she agreed. “Somebody’s trying to stir up trouble.”

She added that only about five percent of her White House duties involve messaging on TV.

“[Trump’s] his own best messenger,” she said. “We don’t need to be out there all the time.”

She considered the CNN story small potatoes, though.

“It’s not even worth arguing because it doesn’t bother us,” Conway said.

Folks on social media thought she killed it.

And one recalled that MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski recently trashed Conway mercilessly.

The “Morning Joe” co-host remarked that Conway would no longer be welcome on her show.
