Watters blasts GOP ‘senators’ who don’t have Trump’s back, but viewers think they know why he left out names

“Go ahead Jesse say it!”

Fox News Channel’s Jesse Watters appeared to avoid making mention of a certain senator while being a guest co-host on “Outnumbered” on Wednesday.

The host of Fox News’ “Watters’ World” usually has no problem confronting people and issues head on in his man-on-the-street interviews. But as he blasted Republican senators who are “scared” of the media, it seemed obvious Watters avoided mentioning Sen. John McCain, whose daughter Meghan McCain is one of the show’s co-hosts, and was seated next to him.

“Republican senators are so scared of the mainstream media and the minute there’s a ‘problem’ they’re going to run,” Watters said. He added that they are not the guys who you want in the “fox hole” and ultimately, Trump was in this alone and had to “watch his back.”

At that point there appeared to be a moment of awkward silence.

The Republican senator from Arizona has been vocally critical of President Donald Trump and has stepped up his bashing of the president and the administration which he described as being in “disarray.”

Watters avoided mention of the senator by name but many were sure his criticism was aimed, in part, at McCain.
