U2’s Bono made the mistake of showing respect to VP Pence; his lib friends had lots of F-words for him

U2 singer Bono met with Vice President Mike Pence on Saturday and progressives heads exploded at the sight.

It wasn’t merely that the two met, but that Bono didn’t lecture or deride Pence, that got them in a tizzy.

He praised the new U.S. vice president for “hitting the ground running” and for previous accomplishments.

“We really appreciate it,” Bono said of Pence meeting with him. “I talked to your staff and said what time is it? They said ‘It’s day 30-o-clock.’ You hit the ground running.”

He also thanked Pence for supporting PEPFAR, President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief bill, when he was a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

“Twice on the house floor you defended that. That’s how we know you,” the singer said. “It was an extraordinary historic accomplishment. You played a leading role.”.
Bono, who can be accurately described as a liberal, was lambasted by liberals on social media.

Bono is a singer, not an actor.

Yeah, progressives never care what a celebrity says.
