Determined Kellyanne Conway uses Twitter to continue all-out assault on CNN, Buzzfeed

Kellyanne Conway blasted CNN Thursday morning for its role in the recent release of completely unsubstantiated, unverifiable and unsourced information that alleges nefarious connections between Russia and the Trump team.

Conway, recently named counselor to President-elect Donald Trump, continued the transition team’s all-out assault on CNN, telling the network that they are being disingenuous about its reporting.

Conway responded to a CNN public relations claim that the cable network did not link to the BuzzFeed report in its own reporting of the unverified Trump dossier.

The tweets come a day after Conway sparred with CNN’s Anderson Cooper. CNN public relations sent the following tweet after Conway appeared on Cooper’s show:

Trump’s team and the CNN are now engaged in an all out war, with the President-elect asserting that the network is “fake news.”

BuzzFeed released a 35-page document Tuesday that alleges Russia has “compromising information on Trump.”

The website claimed that the document was a dossier, “compiled by a person who has claimed to be a former British intelligence official.” BuzzFeed included a warning to readers that the allegations are unverified, and the report contains errors.

CNN reported that a two page addendum was included in last weeks intelligence briefing that informed the President and President-elect that Russia may have some information on Trump’s Russia ties.

CNN supplied the Daily Caller with a statement following the heated exchange between Acosta and the President-elect’s press conference Wednesday.

CNN’s decision to publish carefully sourced reporting about the operations of our government is vastly different than Buzzfeed’s decision to publish unsubstantiated memos.  The Trump team knows this.  They are using Buzzfeed’s decision to deflect from CNN’s reporting, which has been matched by the other major news organizations.  We are fully confident in our reporting.  It represents the core of what the First Amendment protects, informing the people of the inner workings of their government; in this case, briefing materials prepared for President Obama and President-elect Trump last week.  We made it clear that we were not publishing any of the details of the 35-page document because we have not corroborated the report’s allegations.  Given that members of the Trump transition team have so vocally criticized our reporting, we encourage them to identify, specifically, what they believe to be inaccurate.”
