A “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star refuses to apologize for using a gun to defend her home.
Kenya Moore, a former Miss USA, used a gun to chase off two men and a woman who trespassed on her Atlanta-area property.
Moore posted screenshots of the frightening incident (taken from her home security camera) on Instagram, where she defended her use of a gun.
“I have a right to feel safe in my home and to protect myself,” Moore wrote. “I don’t care if I’m on TV. What if 3 strangers banged on your front door?”

Moore managed to chase off the three trespassers from her property. Anyone who watches “Real Housewives of Atlanta” knows that Moore’s home is located in an isolated, woodsy area. Kenya is single and lives alone.
Moore was not hurt, nor was anything stolen, but she offered a $1,000 reward to anyone who could help identify the intruders.

Moore later discussed the incident on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” where she told host Andy Cohen that she keeps several firearms at home, and was ready to shoot if the trespassers had tried to harm her.
“Was that gun loaded?” Cohen asked.
“Absolutely!” Moore replied, who said she’s a licensed gun owner in Georgia. Cohen, who’s openly gay and very politically liberal, asked if Moore felt her reaction was justified.
“Listen, I have a gated property. They went around my gate,” Moore explained. “They went and trespassed. They did so many things that were asking for it, not only to be shot but an *ss whoopin’. They’re just lucky they didn’t get both … I have the right to defend myself.”
