Miss Piggy proves she’s still tough as nails! Watch her ‘save Tony Bennett’s life’ at Macy’s Parade

A national tragedy was averted when Muppets character Miss Piggy leapt into action to help steady crooner icon Tony Bennett from falling off a Thanksgiving Day parade float, and we have video to show it.

The legendary singer was just finishing a duet with the beloved puppet character during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York on Thursday when the float they were on took a sudden lurch forward causing the 90-year-old singer to lose his balance.

Hamilton star who lectured Mike Pence has just been dealt the ultimate dose of karma; time to rethink that apology!

Bennett grasped for part of the float near him so as not to fall off the thing but there was another steadying influence that helped him, too.

Many feel that Miss Piggy saved Bennett from an embarrassing fall when like a flash, the muppet turned toward Bennett helping him steady himself as the float continued its forward motion.

Now, there is no way to tell if the person operating the Miss Piggy Muppet actually intended to help steady the “Rags to Riches” singer or if the turn toward Bennett was just part of the script, but whether it was meant as an aid or just show biz it may have helped save Bennett from a serious tumble.

Laura Ingraham’s hilarious Thanksgiving joke won’t be told around Hillary Clinton’s table!

Whatever actually happened, folks on Twitter are hailing Miss Piggy as a national hero!
