Trey Gowdy vs Ted Cruz for Supreme Court: take our POLL here
Ivana Trump plans to appeal to her ex-husband, President-elect Donald Trump, to name her as the U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic.
“I will suggest that I be ambassador for the Czech Republic,” she told the N.Y Post on Friday.
“[That] is where I’m from and my language and everybody knows me,” Ivana added. “I’m quite known all around the world. Not only in America. I’ve written three books, and they were translated in 40 countries in 25 languages.”
And she insisted that this was accomplished without the benefit of her former husband’s name.
“I’m known by the name Ivana. I really did not need the name Trump,” she said.
The real estate tycoon’s first wife also said Trump will not give up his beloved Trump Tower penthouse or his private jet, though the Secret Service may have something to say about that.
“I don’t think he will ever give up [his apartment at] the Trump Tower,” she told the newspaper. “I know it is probably inconvenient for the residents, but he is going to work it out.
“To be perfectly honest, I think probably the Trump Tower and my townhouse in New York is much better than the White House,” Ivana said with a laugh, according to The Post. “But Donald is very right. He said if a lot of presidents before can live in here, so can [he] . . . I don’t think he’s going to do gold leafing in the White House.”
Clips of Trump’s first major post-election interview with ’60 Minutes’ already have people buzzing
