Award-winning investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson made a few general observations on the media attack on Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump that are both instructive and worth consideration.
The New York Times began the process with a report that two women claimed that they were both sexually groped by Trump. Then an onslaught of similar allegations from different outlets began pouring in.
Those events — in and of themselves — prompted Attkisson to step back from the maelstrom to ask, what really is going on here?
What I’ve learned: when the media, social media, etc is working so hard to direct a narrative, I look in the other direction.

I have no inside info. My read of events based on experience is that somebody is very worried. Very, very worried. Only they know why.

Those who are “very, very worried” can only be the Democratic Party and the Clinton campaign, who have been, to quote the late playwright Tennessee Williams, like a “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” since multiple Clinton scandals have been disclosed.
And Julian Assange’s WikiLeaks has been turning up the heat big time. Attkisson observed that the allegations thrown at Trump may not be as they appear. Maybe we’re being told we should believe the images that are peering back at us — even though they come from a fun house mirror.
Sometimes oppo groups simply throw confusing/false info into the mix to confuse so ppl don’t know what to believe and disregard the truth

She finally observed that Trump is working at a distinct disadvantage this time around.
Both Dems and Repubs have organizations that work to direct narratives. However, the Repub machine isn’t working for Trump this time.

And others agreed.
@SharylAttkisson RNC said they had big time oppo to drop on Clinton. So far, nada. Reince, Spicer & the rest are with Hillary.

@SharylAttkisson 1st candidate to have two side’s oppo research machines gunning for him. Thanks, Mitt & Paul!

@mcfan2011 – @wikileaks conclusively shows that #theDemocrats are cheating, lying elitist ? https://t.co/r2c997Tjfi

@SharylAttkisson The Repub machine is working against Trump and We The People. They ALL are. But we are waking up!

What do you think? Is it all “smoke and mirrors,” or is it “where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”
Whatever it is, one thing is certain: The media are telling the electorate how it should cast it’s vote, and that should tick everyone off — Republicans and Democrats.
