Disgust abounds as ‘vulture reporters’ pounce on injured woman from NJ train wreck

A passenger injured in the New Jersey transit train crash Thursday morning was mobbed by reporter requests after posting photos on social media.

The Twitter user, named Laura, posted two photos after the commuter train crashed into a Hoboken terminal, killing one passenger and injuring more than 100 others.

“My train just derailed and crashed into the Hoboken train station,” she wrote. “Thankfully all I got was a crack to my head, please pray for the rest.” The comments on her post grew as the “sick” media began to “descend” on her.

This certainly can’t help the public’s negative perception of the press.

In fact, Laura’s comments section was filled with almost only media requests to use her story, her photos or get an interview.

Twitter users resoundingly condemned the reporters and sounded off in their own tweets.
