Amazon deletes over one thousand bad reviews to cover for Hillary’s abysmal book sales

Things must really be bad for Hillary Clinton when even her book reviews have to be “fixed” to make her more appealing.

Clinton’s newest book, “Stronger Together,” co-authored with running mate Tim Kaine, has been met with abysmal sales and critical reviews. But Amazon.com came to the rescue by reportedly removing negative reviews of the book from its website, according to WND.com.

With a slow sales start since hitting book shelves on Sept. 6, the campaign book which outlines policies of a Clinton presidency, earned 81 percent one-star ratings and an average of only 1.7 on Amazon.com.

But last week, Amazon deleted hundreds of critical reviews of the book according to WND.com which has been tracking the numbers. There were more than 1,200 reviews at one point and that number grew to more than 2,000.

By Thursday afternoon, however, there were only 255 and many of the negative reviews had been removed.

Sixty-two percent of the ratings were one-star while only 35 percent earned five-star ratings, according to Amazon, whose CEO Jeff Bezos happens to own the liberal Washington Post. By Monday morning, 85 percent of the Amazon reviews gave it one star, with only 11 percent giving it five stars.

The book went into free-fall on the website’s best-seller list, as it dropped from number 840 early last week to number 1,538 on Thursday.

“Every time I write my review it gets deleted, it’s so weird. Does anyone know where the servers are hosted that contain reviews?” wrote a reader identified as Robert S Lionel JR, who gave the book a one-star rating.

Many of the five-star ratings came from Clinton supporters who lashed out at “trolls” who were slamming the book because they were critical of the candidate, WND reported.

“I expected that Amazon tweaked reviews but have lost all belief in Amazon reviews now. Will switch to Walmart for ordering most the things I used to buy here,” another reviewer wrote.

Even after the edits by Amazon, many of the reviews were sarcastic and many readers found the reviews “helpful.”

“I bought this thinking it would be a how-to book. I wanted ‘How to set up your own Foundation for fun and profit.’ Also, would like to have seen a chapter on ‘Ten easy steps to setting up your own secure server in a bathroom,’” wrote a reader named Elaine.

“Not only no but hell no. I’d rather read Mein Kampf,” wrote Anthony Messina

“Pre-ordered an autographed copy but had to return it after this week’s announcement as I was worried it was contaminated with pneumonia bacteria,” penned Chjhores.

Daniel B. gave this summary:

“I was going to read this book … I really was. But just as I got started, I found myself under sniper fire, passed out, and fell and hit my head. After that I got double vision and had to wear glasses that were so damn thick I couldn’t even see to read. As if that wasn’t enough, I then had an allergic reaction to something and started coughing so hard I spit out what looked like a couple of lizard’s eyeballs, my limbs locked up, and I passed out and fell down again, waking up only to find out I had been diagnosed with pneumonia 2 days earlier. Somehow I managed to power through it all, but it’s a good thing I was able to make a small fortune on this random small trade in the commodities market (cattle futures or some such thing) and then, miracle of all miracles, a few banks offered me a few million to just talk to their employees for a few minutes – and all that really helped out because I swear I was dead broke and couldn’t figure out how I was gonna come up with the 6 bucks to pay for this book, let alone pay the $1,500 for my health insurance this month. I still want to read it, but, honestly, what difference at this point does it make? I hear it sucks anyway.”

His review was found to be “helpful” by more than 3,400 readers.

According the description on Amazon, the book presents Clinton’s  “agenda in full, relating stories from the American people and outlining the Clinton-Kaine campaign’s plans on everything from apprenticeships to the Zika virus.”

But, even with Amazon’s help, the 250-page book continued to generate negative reviews and comments that it is “boring” and “dishonest.”
