It’s a bird, it’s a plane… no, it’s ‘Super Trump’ looming over Times Square and it’s getting quite a reaction

Donald Trump, the real estate millionaire, television personality, author and Republican presidential nominee is also a super hero.

A 55-foot digital animated billboard is being displayed featuring Trump as Superman in New York City’s Times Square.

Sponsored by a pro-Trump super PAC called the Committee to Restore America’s Greatness, the ad was launched a day after Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton collapsed following a 9/11 commemoration event in New York, according to the New York Post.

The ad is intended to contrast Trump’s “stamina” against Clinton’s health concerns, according to conservative filmmaker Joel Gilbert, who produced the video.

“Donald Trump has the stamina to be president,” Gilbert said. “You see Trump traveling the country on his airplane. He’s looking to solve people’s problems…It’s giving power back to the people. Who is more American than Superman?”

Super Trump, which cost $25,000 according to Trump adviser Roger Stone, was funded by San Diego tech mogul Dr. Robert Shillman, the Post reported.

“When I was a kid, Superman was my idol because he stood for Truth, Justice, and the American Way, just like Donald Trump,” said Shillman, founder and chairman of Cognex Corp.

The ad runs Sept. 13-16 at its New York City location and will be displayed the following week along the I-4 Corridor in Central Florida.

As Hillary stumbles, Donald flies  – and reaction on social media was no less entertaining.
