As she discussed her father’s newly released child care plan on Fox News’ “The Kelly File,” Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka had to admit that her dad can sometimes be an “equal opportunity offender” in the things he says and does.
Host Megyn Kelly asked Ivanka what she thought of her dad’s “rough and tumble campaign tactics” that has led to problematic polling numbers with female voters, Fox News Insider noted.
“I’ve always wondered how you reacted to that, you know, like the re-tweet of Heidi Cruz next to Melania,” Kelly said to the successful business woman.
In response, Ivanka had to admit the obvious… her dad is an “equal opportunity offender.”
“If somebody says something against him he will speak his mind,” Ivanka said straightforwardly. “And he treats women equal to how he treats men. He’s said plenty of rough things about men over the years, and I discourage him from doing that as I discourage him from doing that with women.”
On the other hand, Ivanka pointed out that her father treats women the same way he treats men, without “kid gloves,” and that, she said, shows he recognizes women are “equipped to handle it and are able to do so.”
“So, in a certain way there’s no bias in his viewpoint. He views all people equally, men or women, it doesn’t matter, and he treats them accordingly,” Ivanka added.
She concluded saying, “He’s very authentic, and he’ll tell anyone, man or woman, what he’s thinking and how he feels.”
