Trump slams Hillary for ‘short circuit’ comment in a blazing attack: ‘totally unbalanced’

DC NEWSBy Phillip Stucky, DCNF

Republican nominee Donald Trump tweeted his response to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s first press conference in over 240 days, criticizing Clinton for saying she “short-circuited” when she told supporters FBI director James Comey said her comments were honest.

Clinton made an appearance at a conference hosted by the National Association of Black Journalists, and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists Friday afternoon. After her remarks, she agreed to take questions from members of the press.

Clinton attempted to describe the process through which she was able to claim Comey sided with her, before finally telling reporters, “I was pointing out in both of those instances, that Director Comey had said that my answers in my FBI interview were truthful. That really is the bottom line here,” she said.

“What I told the FBI, which he said was truthful, is consistent with what I have said publicly. I may have short-circuited and for that I will try to clarify.”

Trump began his assault on Twitter by saying she didn’t do well in her remarks.

Trump then continued a few hours later mentioning Clinton’s words exactly.

Finally, Trump concluded with his final tweet to date on the subject.

His second tweet was a response to a Clinton push to label the Republican nominee as dangerous. In an interview with CBS’s Charlie Rose in July, Clinton used the word dangerous to describe Trump. “What he has laid out is the most dangerous, reckless approach to being president than I think we’ve ever seen,” Clinton told Rose.

Rose then asked if the Democratic nominee thought Trump was the most dangerous man to run for the office of president, Clinton responded, “I believe that.”
