Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich just poured cold water on thoughts that Donald Trump might reveal his running mate soon.

He told Chris Wallace that he has not yet been vetted for the role, and said that “He’s probably going to start thinking about it about two days before (the convention).

“Are you serious?” Wallace shot back.

“I think Donald Trump does not want to make a decision until the convention,” Gingrich replied. “I think that he is a very decisive person and in case of a few of us—I’m an example. There’s not much vetting to do. I mean, you guys have been all over me for a decade.”
