Black conservative author and commentator Deneen Borelli lashed out at a Louisiana state representative who stirred up a firestorm by calling the Declaration of Independence racist.

“For the Declaration of Independence, only Caucasians [were] free,” Democrat State Rep. Barbara Norton said while discussing a proposal to have all Louisiana schoolchildren learn the document. “For you to bring a bill to request that our children will recite the Declaration, I think it’s a little bit unfair.”

Norton was ultimately successful in defeating the bill.

On “Fox & Friends Weekend” Borelli blasted her argument as “outrageous” and called the Declaration “the blueprint of our country.”

“For her to be attacking the Declaration of Independence, that is attacking liberty, that is attacking freedom,” she said.

“Why not attack the history of the Democrat Party, which she is a member of?” Borelli asked. “The party of the KKK. The party of trying to keep black enslaved — and to keep blacks segregated.”

The “Blacklash” author said there should be “pushback: against Norton.

“People should not let her get away with this,” she opined.
