Next year, someone else will be delivering the keynote address at the White House Correspondents’ dinner. Eric Trump thinks he knows who it will be.

Donald Trump’s two oldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, attended the dinner on Saturday night with their wives. With the Republican front-runner conspicuously absent, both had to endure President Obama’s jabs at their father’s expense.

The President began the segment on a serious note, as if he was going to talk about importance of the media, then lit into Trump instead, “A free press is central to our democracy and… Nah, I’m just kidding. You know I’m gonna talk about Trump!”

The audience roared as Obama continued, “Although I am a little hurt that he’s not here tonight. We had so much fun the last time. And it is surprising. We have a room full of reporters, celebrities, cameras and he says no. Is this dinner too tacky for The Donald? What could he possibly be doing instead? Is he at home eating a Trump steak? Tweeting out insults to Angela Merkel? What’s he doing?”

Eric Trump took the teasing in stride and even hit back, telling The Hill, “We’ll take some shots back next year. He who laughs last last longest, right?”

Donald Trump Jr. also isn’t afraid of a little teasing, “If there’s anyone that can make fun of ourselves, it’s my father, it’s me, it’s our family. That’s what we are. We’re ready. We realize it’s all in good fun and we can dish it out and we can take it.”

The billionaire did attend last year’s dinner and seemed to enjoy it, but before that hadn’t been since 2011, when Obama lampooned Trump’s questions about the President’s birth certificate, “No one is happier—no one is prouder—to put this birth certificate matter to rest than The Donald. And that’s because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter. Like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?”

Citing general media unfairness to him and his campaign, Trump chose to sit this one out.

Even in his absence, there were lots of laughs to go around, but the last laugh could very well go to the Trump family.
