You won’t be the only one to find this strange.

I like Donald Trump, but will be voting for Sen. Ted Cruz.

That was the short version of Indiana Gov. Mike Pence’s much-anticipated endorsement Monday of the Texas firebrand for the Republican presidential nomination.

“I particularly want to commend Donald Trump, who I think has given voice to the frustration of millions of working Americans with a lack of progress in Washington D.C.,” Pence told radio host Greg Garrison on WIBC.

“And I’m also particularly grateful that Donald Trump has taken a strong stance for Hoosier jobs.”

He indicated that he’d interviewed all three candidates who will battle it out in Indiana’s May 3 primary.

“I’m not against anybody, but I will be voting for Ted Cruz in the upcoming Republican primary,” Pence said.

“I see Ted Cruz as a principled conservative who has dedicated his career to [advancing] the Reagan agenda,” he added.

MSNBC’s tweet of the endorsement came out way lopsided, however. It sounded like it was all praise for Trump with the Cruz endorsement being thrown in as an afterthought.

Folks on Twitter who didn’t get a chance to watch the full interview and only caught MSNBC’s abbreviated and lopsided version of it were left scratching their heads.
