Social media explodes with sympathy for Monica Lewinsky, the Clintons won’t be happy about this

Following almost a decade of being removed from the public eye, President Bill Clinton’s former White House fling Monica Lewinsky has recently come back to the spotlight.

Lewinsky is the subject of a profile in the Guardian on her life after the Clinton sex scandal, in which the president acknowledged that he had an “inappropriate relationship” with her in the Oval Office where she was an intern.

In the piece, Lewinsky details the fear she had after being exposed in the presidential sex scandal in 1998, saying “I felt like every layer of my skin and my identity were ripped off of me in ’98 and ’99.”

“It’s a skinning of sorts,” Lewinsky said. “You feel incredibly raw and frightened. But I also feel like the shame sticks to you like tar.”

Lewinsky also admitted that she never tried to commit suicide, but she came very close to doing it.

Now, Lewinsky has exploded Twitter with her comments about the Clinton sex scandal, with social media users lambasting the Clintons.
