Censorship or glitch? Words ‘Islamic terrorism’ disappear from presidential discussion

It is well known that the Obama administration does not classify Islamic terrorism as being “Islamic.” And authorities at the White House may have just taken that position a step further.

A White House translation of a meeting between President Obama and French President Francois Hollande in which Hollande refers to jihadists as “Islamic terrorism,” is suspected of being censored.

In the video clip, first reported by MRC, the translation of Hollande’s conversation with Obama goes completely silent as he mentions the words “Islamic terrorism,” according to a transcript of the discussion between the two presidents.

This is the transcript of what Hollande said with the censored words in brackets:

“But we’re also well aware that the roots of terrorism, [Islamist terrorism, is in Syria and in Iraq.  We therefore have to act both in Syria and in Iraq, and this is what we’re doing within the framework of the coalition.] And we note that Daesh is losing ground thanks to the strikes we’ve been able to launch with the coalition.”
