Who said Hollywood can’t be conservative?
Italian-born model and heart-throb to women everywhere, Fabio Lanzoni, 57, became a naturalized U.S. citizen this week. And apparently, conservatism has rubbed off on him already.
In an interview with Page Six, Fabio said he agreed with GOP front-runner Donald Trump’s immigration plan, saying, “If you want to come to this country, the American people are the greatest people on Earth and will welcome you with open arms.”
“But you have to go through the system — laws are made to be respected,” Fabio told Page Six.
Fabio also praised Trump for his honesty on the campaign trail and said the 2016 presidential race will be even better than cat-fighting reality television.
“I think the [election] is going to be the most incredible TV you’ve ever seen in your life — nobody is going to watch the reality shows anymore,” said Fabio. “Donald Trump speaks his mind. If you like it or you don’t like it, at least you know where he stands.”
As for politics in his own life, Fabio did not rule out a run in public life. “You never know,” he remarked to Page Six. Gaining citizenship, Fabio said, was one of the greatest accomplishments of his life.
“I’ve been in love with this country since I was 14 years old,” Fabio said. “Yesterday was like getting married.”
