DOJ grants immunity to staffer who set up Hillary’s email server; no more pleading the Fifth!

Now it’s not just the FBI going after Hillary Clinton; the DOJ is getting into the act as well.

The Justice Department granted immunity to the former State Department staffer who set up the former secretary of state’s private server and accounts.

When former Clinton staffer Bryan Pagliano appeared before the House Select Committee on Benghazi last year, he invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. With the grant immunity, he will no longer be able to make that claim.

After Washington Post reporter Adam Goldman announced the news, social media was all abuzz.

The Clinton campaign put on a brave face in light of this news, and even claimed that it was pleased. No one bought it, though.

Sen. Ted Cruz discussed this latest development with Fox News host Megyn Kelly on “The Kelly File” Wednesday.

“This is an ominous development for the Clinton campaign and for Democrats as a whole,” The Texas Republican, who is seeking his party’s nomination for president, said.

He told Kelly that investigators will now be able to learn what instructions he’d been given by Clinton and her top aides.

“And that suggests that the legal jeopardy is just getting greater and greater,” Cruz added.

He said that this “underscores the need for Republicans to nominate a strong candidate to beat Hillary in November.”

Although she’s the Democratic presidential front-runner, Cruz referred to her as “a badly-wounded candidate.”
