‘Hidden in a shoebox?’ State Dept. turns over 1,600 ‘recently discovered’ Hillary docs on Libya

While many question the competence of the Obama White House on any number of issues, one thing the administration has down pat is the Friday afternoon news dump.

The House Select Committee on Benghazi took to Twitter Friday to announce that the State Department had turned over 1,600 pages of new documents related to Hillary Clinton and Libya. The committee added that the administration has still not produced other documents that were requested almost a year ago.

The committee also said that the 1,600 documents were only “recently discovered” from the Office of the Secretary.

It remains to be seen whether there is anything included in the documents that may bring further harm to Clinton’s presidential aspirations. Democrats have criticized the committee as being little more than a tool for Republicans to derail her campaign.

Social media users were skeptical in responding, with one user asking: “Were they hidden in a shoe box?”
