Actor Tim Allen picks favorite GOP presidential candidate; has ‘good heart’

Actor and comedian Tim Allen shared his thoughts on the 2016 election and the lineup of candidates, while revealing who his choice would be for president.

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly described Allen as “one of the few conservatives in Hollywood,” and asked who he liked in the presidential race during Thursday’s “The Kelly File.”

Allen, who portrays a conservative character in the ABC sitcom “Last Man Standing,” said Ohio Governor John Kasich would win his vote if it was just based on his resume.

“I know this might be the kiss of death for him, but he’s almost a Republican the Democrats would like,” said Allen, adding that Kasich had a “good heart.”

When asked about his thoughts on Hillary Clinton, the actor shared that many of the liberal women writers on his show support the Democratic candidate, saying “it’s about time” for a woman to be president.

“So one of us said, ‘If it was Sarah Palin, would it still be about time?’ And boy, it looked like they all ate bad fish,” he said.

Allen added that he doesn’t care about political parties so much as voting for someone who gets things done.
