Greta Van Susteren isn’t letting President Obama off the hook as easily as the lap-dog press.
In her “Off the Record” commentary segment on Wednesday, the Fox News host called for Obama to be held accountable for his decision to skip the funeral of late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia on Saturday.
“The American people deserve to know why our president won’t represent the nation at a Supreme Court Justice’s funeral,” she said.
Instead, he’s sending Vice President Biden to the funeral while he and first lady Michelle Obama pay respects at the Supreme Court building on Friday, leading one reporter to ask if he has golf plans on Saturday.
“If there’s a great reason, I’m going to back the president up,” Van Susteren said. “But no reason? Well, that’s not right.”
“So Mr. President, the ball is in your court,” she said. “Why aren’t you going to the funeral?”
“For the sake of our nation – and decency,” Van Susteren said, and we all hope it’s not because of political differences.
