‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro sued for $6 million by chubby Down Syndrome teen in meme he posted

Be careful what memes you post on social media, particularly if you are a millionaire.

Dancing with the Stars” pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy is in hot water over a meme he posted of a girl with Down Syndrome on Facebook, according to TMZ.

In the lawsuit, the 16-year-old claims she was the subject of ridicule and suffered severe emotional distress after Chmerkovskiy posted the photo.

“Letting your kid become obese should be considered child abuse,” the meme read. It was created years ago and shared by the dancing star three weeks ago.

CBS News, who also posted the picture, is named in the lawsuit, TMZ reported.

The girl said her mother emailed Chmerkovskiy and asked him to remove the picture several times to no avail.

In fact, according to the family, the star was nasty in his replies.

“I am truly sorry for the lack of sensitivity … You’re handicapping your kid, and they’re defenseless,” he wrote according to TMZ adding “They don’t know better. That’s why you’re there.”

The lawsuit seeks $6 million each from Chmerkovskiy and CBS as well as $600,000 from the photographer TMZ reported.
