Hillary changes fundraiser to steer clear of Kate Steinle sanctuary city case

This is what can happen when a presidential candidate doesn’t thoroughly vet their fundraiser hosts.

Bill Clinton had to quickly move a $1,000-a-plate “Hillary for America” fundraiser to Rep. Jackie Speier’s home after the original host’s business affiliations were leaked out.

From the San Francisco Chronicle:

Organizers had originally picked the home of another Hillsborough resident, Frank Pitre, the law partner of high-powered Democratic fundraiser Joe Cotchett.

The Pitre home even got a once-over from the Secret Service.

But then somebody in Hillary Clinton’s campaign found out that Pitre is the attorney in legal action against the city being pursued by the family of Kathryn Steinle, the 32-year-old woman who was shot and killed last year on Pier 14, allegedly by Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez.

Presumably, not wanting to be seen as “anti-immigrant,” the Hillary campaign made the change of venue.

Steinle’s murder by the five-time deported illegal alien put a spotlight on “sanctuary cities,” and sparked a nationwide effort to pass Kate’s Law, which sought to meaningfully punish repeat offenders who cross the border illegally.

Since Kate’s horrific murder, the Steinle family has been actively pursuing common-sense change that would help prevent future crimes by illegal criminals being shielded by a “sanctuary” policy.

Last September, the Steinle family proclaimed they would be suing the city of San Francisco over Kate’s murder. You can watch the emotional announcement below:
