MSNBC’s Scarborough: ‘I’d rather set myself on fire’ than be in debate moderated by Megyn Kelly

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Monday that he would rather “set himself on fire” than participate in a debate moderated by Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

Scarborough unloaded on his Fox News counterpart after playing a series of clips of Kelly commenting on the dust-up over her controversial question to Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump in the August debate, as well as her reaction to the candidate’s decision to skip Thursday’s debate hosted by Fox.

“That is just good, unbiased journalism,” Scarborough said sarcastically, upon the completion of the clips. “And if I were a candidate, I certainly would want that person asking me questions in a fair and balanced way.”

He then got real personal.

“As I’ve said before, I would rather set myself on fire in front of the Fox News studio than go on the debate stage with that,” Scarborough stated.

Being that he’s an MSNBC host, Scarborough is not likely to experience any repercussions for referring to Kelly as “that,” or explain what he meant by it.
