Fox News throws up serious accusation against Trump campaign manager

Fox News released a brutal statement Tuesday reacting to the announcement from the Donald Trump campaign that he would be bowing out of the next Republican presidential debate.

“As many of our viewers know, FOX News is hosting a sanctioned debate in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday night, three days before the first votes of the 2016 election are cast in the Iowa Caucus. Donald Trump is refusing to debate seven of his fellow presidential candidates on stage that night, which is near unprecedented,” the statement read.

The network accused the campaign of leveling terroristic threats against debate moderator and Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

“We’re not sure how Iowans are going to feel about him walking away from them at the last minute, but it should be clear to the American public by now that this is rooted in one thing – Megyn Kelly, whom he has viciously attacked since August and has now spent four days demanding be removed from the debate stage. Capitulating to politicians’ ultimatums about a debate moderator violates all journalistic standards, as do threats, including the one leveled by Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski toward Megyn Kelly.

“In a call on Saturday with a FOX News executive, Lewandowski stated that Megyn had a ‘rough couple of days after that last debate’ and he ‘would hate to have her go through that again.’ Lewandowski was warned not to level any more threats, but he continued to do so. We can’t give in to terrorizations toward any of our employees,” the statement continued.

But even with all of that, the network said it would still allow the current Republican presidential front-runner to attend the debate.

“Trump is still welcome at Thursday night’s debate and will be treated fairly, just as he has been during his 132 appearances on FOX News & FOX Business, but he can’t dictate the moderators or the questions,” the network said.

Trump doesn’t need this debate but I feel he should have attended anyway. One thing to consider is that the party would like Trump out and wonder how many on the stage would have attacked along with Kelly and the other moderators…..

I don’t see any threats in any of what was said. Sounds like FOX wants to make excuses for putting Kelly, who lost many fans and got much push back after her unprofessional and nasty B attack on Trump, appears the only reason FOX would do this is to get ratings and to get a Cape Fight going. They had two great debates with great Moderators and they had plenty to chose from so picking Kelly was for the Side Show.

FOX needed Trump he doesn’t need them. I won’t watch it because of Kelly, quit watching her show after her antics.

Trump was right and he will survive can’t say the same for Kelly and FOX.

Where can we see the Wounded Warrior event televised?

Fox is getting to be dictatorial. As such, I’ll get my information from the Internet, thank you.

What morons. Trumps manager didn’t threaten anyone. It’s insane that the bullies at Fox level character assassination after character assassination at Trump, but when he finally fights back these morons want to act as if they are cowering in fear at the “threats”. Bullies and narcissists are always like that……they engage in character assassination and emotional abuse, but when the victim finally stands up for himself the narcissist whines and complains how bad the victim is. Fox has completely gone down the toilet.

Fox’s credibility is shot…Murdoch is showing his cards and it’s aces and eights.

  7. Mike Hambuchen says:

I guess I missed the terroristic threat made against poor Kelley, can someone post it to me?
Unprecedented? Rand Paul just did it last debate and the RNC did it to NBC!

  8. So Donald Trump thumbs his nose and then turns around and moons the cowardly Republican Elite along with their chief mouth-piece. “You Go Donald” I say!

If Meghan Kelley gets him that upset, what will Putin do to him——-I can see the tears from here!! EFFING CRYBABY!!!!!

    1. Gerhard Hulpertshausen says:

Joe- I think rather Trump and Putin would sit somewhere in a hotel lobby and would solve problems in minutes where the current administration was not able to do in 8 years. you know why? because he is Trump. he is his own brand and knows already everybody on a different level. they want to make business? they know- there are not many ways around Trump. He is in a complete different position than all others before him. Believe me- it’s not that he is not allowed to sit on the table- he don’t want to- and he stands to his word- he don’t need Kelly, he don’t need fox and he don’t need anybody else. and how do you know how he is, when it comes to business? believe me- he is not there where he is because he is a douche. That’s why he is where he is. so keep on dreaming.

Sounds more like hero worshiping fantasy (“because he is Trump”????) than a realistic expectation, especially if you know anything at all about Putin.

You know if you’re going to get on here and tell us what a fool Trump is, then how about telling us who you like? Otherwise stfu.

Ya, he’s lucky he didn’t end up running away to Mexico with Mommy like that other rich brat did.
