Mainstream media’s celebrated ‘victim’ of Islamophobia JAILED on terrorism charges

Gadeir AbbasA man defended by progressives as a victim of “Islamophobia” has been arrested for being part of a terror cell.

Saadiq Long was defended by the Council of American-Islamic Relations and backed by the likes of MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, journalist Glenn Greenwald and far-left website Mother Jones because he was on the Transportation Security Administration’s No Fly List.

The narrative pushed by the left was that Long, as U.S Air Force veteran who now resides in Qatar, simply wanted to return home to visit his sick mother when he discovered he was on the list.

Long was eventually allowed to fly to the U.S. to see his mother in Oklahoma but remained under FBI surveillance, according to PJ Media.

After an incident with local law enforcement however, he was placed back on the No Fly List and not allowed to return to his home in Qatar, which prompted the interview with Hayes.

Long appeared with his CAIR representative, Gadeir Abbas, and they played the victim role to a tee.

Now, two years after that appearance, Long sits in a Turkish prison — arrested for being part of an Islamic State group terror cell, according to PJ Media.

U.S. and Turkish officials confirmed Long’s arrest to PJ Media, saying that he was arrested along with eight others operating along the Turkish-Syrian border. So far, no U.S. media outlet has reported on his arrest.

Wonder what his left wing warriors have to say about him now.
