Media busted for lying about Trump Muslim database; how libs catapulted crazy story

If there’s a consistent theme to the 2016 Republican presidential primary race, it would be the media misconstruing what the candidates say.

The latest incident centers on front-runner Donald Trump, who appeared Friday on Fox News to explain he did not say he wants a database to register all Muslims in the United States, as was widely reported in the media.

And he had plenty of support from conservative heavyweights like Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham.

Ingraham shared the Washington Examiner’s report on how the story was spun by liberals after Trump’s words were twisted out of context.

Coulter flat out accused the media of lying:

Responding to the backlash that has erupted, Trump told “On the Record” guest host Kimberly Guilfoyle he was at a campaign event signing books when a reporter asked him about a database and with music playing in the background and people screaming, he didn’t hear the question clearly.

Trump said he wants a database for Syrian refugees coming into the country, not Muslims already here.

“I want a watch list for the Syrian refugees that Obama’s going to let in if we don’t stop him as Republicans,” he said.

With an interest in keeping the country safe, Trump said he supports watch lists and surveillance to make that happen, adding that “we’re not a bunch of babies.”

“We need protection and we need it now,” he said. “We are very, very foolish in this country, and we have a lot of problems. And the biggest problem? We have no leader.”

Protests against Trump’s “Nazi-like” plan to register Muslims, as described in the Daily Mail, were held at various locations around the country. One event was held in Vermont in response to the media-created controversy.
