School attacked by masked bad guy with SWORD stopped by good guy with GUN – 5 injured

The problem isn’t the weapon; the problem is the nut wielding the weapon.

This fundamental truth was brought home Thursday morning when a masked man, brandishing a sword, killed one person at a Swedish school and injured four others before he was shot by police, according to the BBC.

The attack only stopped when local police shot the swordsman, who is being treated for his injuries at a hospital.

The student victims were described as “young but not kids,” by Niklas Claesson, head of communications at the NAL hospital in Trollhattan,

“Some of them have serious injuries and are being operated on. One person is deceased at the scene,” he said.

The person who died at the scene was, reportedly, an adult teacher, according to Swedish broadcaster SVT.

Police said the attack took place in the cafe area of the Kronan school, which has 400 students. Students were seen fleeing the building.

Radio Sweden tweeted:

A bystander took these photos of the scene.

Every time a mass shooting occurs — especially at schools, which are typically “gun free zones” — President Obama make another call for gun control measures, which would only restrict the law-abiding citizen from obtaining firearms.

If a crazy person wants to kill and maim, he’ll find a way to do it, whether it’s a knife, a sword or a vehicle racing toward a line of school children.

And the only thing that stops a bad guy with a weapon is a good guy with a weapon.
