Officers nationwide are grieving for another life lost in the line of duty.

New York City police officer Randolph Holder paid the ultimate price Monday night when he was shot in the head in East Harlem by a suspected bicycle thief with a gun.

There are also troubling reports “Black Lives Matter” members aren’t mourning–they’re celebrating.

Officer Holder was black, a third generation cop in his family, according to Commissioner Bill Bratton. “He always wanted to join the police force because I was in the police force in Guyana,” Holder’s father told the New York Post.

As Holder’s body was transported by ambulance from Harlem Hospital, police officers saluted to honor him. As Twitter users note, police lives, whether black or white, asian or Latino, also matter.
