Given the rhetoric President Barack Obama made after the recent shooting at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College, comments made by former Navy SEAL and “American Sniper” Chris Kyle made shortly before his murder are prophetically resonating from the grave.
“He’s definitely against the Second Amendment,” he said of Obama at the 2013 Las Vegas SHOT Show during a Guns.com interview. “And he’s trying to ban everything.”
Following the shooting incident in Oregon, Obama made another call for stiffer gun control measures, stating that the issue was “something we should politicize.”
Kyle also addressed the overall gun bans in Great Britain and Australia, something former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has expressed admiration for.
In answer to a reporter’s question this week on emulating Australia’s gun buy-back program, Clinton said, “I think it would be worth considering doing it on the national level, if that could be arranged,” Clinton responded.
But it wouldn’t do a thing, according to Kyle.
“The gun violence went down, that’s for sure,” he admitted. However, “their overall crime rate went up.”
