‘Ahmed the clock kid’ story has new twist after troubling discovery

ahmedThe story of “Ahmed the Clock Kid” took another “disturbing” turn when Fox News host Megyn Kelly pointed out that the Texas ninth grader’s father pushed 9/11 conspiracy theories online.

“We have a disturbing new twist tonight in the story of Ahmed Mohamed, the boy who was arrested for bringing his homemade clock that looked like a bomb to school,” Kelly said on Wednesday’s episode of “The Kelly File.”

Fox News anchor Trace Gallagher then told Kelly that Ahmed’s father, Mohammed Elhassan Mohamed, has two different Facebook pages, with one being his personal page where he “appears pro-American.”

family will NOT meet with Obama, on principle

“But there’s also an Arabic Facebook page for the National Reform Party — a political party started by Elhassan Mohamed — bearing a similar profile picture and address,” he explained.

“Only this webpage is much more active and the tone is very different, including a 14-minute conspiracy clip on the 9/11 terrorist attack,” Gallagher continued. “And the post that shows the smoking World Trade towers describing it as a U.S. sponsored hoax to launch a world war against Islam and Muslims.”

A hoax?

Keep in mind that Ahmed was invited to the White House by President Obama to celebrate Astronomy Night on October 19 — an invitation that’s sure to include his immediate family, considering he’s a minor.

All of which will serve as little more than a slap in the face to the almost 3,000 victims of 9/11 and their families.
