A major Boston hospital has denied an appeal of a doctor’s expulsion after he posted some inconvenient truths about gay and lesbian sexual behavior.
Dr. Paul Church, a Harvard-trained urologist who has been on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for nearly 30 years, was expelled from the hospital in June for posting medical concerns about the consequences of homosexual behavior, according to pro-family activist website MassResistance.
The hospital stated that Church’s concerns constituted “discrimination,” “harassment,” and “unprofessional conduct,” yet it did not dispute the medical truth of his statements. Along with medical evidence, Church posted two Bible verses to the hospital’s internal Internet portal.
Among the consequences Church listed were the high risks of contracting sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS, “anal cancer, hepatitis, parasitic intestinal infections, and psychiatric disorders,” according to Life Site News.
Last week, a hospital panel that heard Church’s appeal voted to uphold the expulsion decision. The hospital’s board of directors may overturn the appeal decision, but MassResistance said that the board would “likely uphold it.”
The most chilling part of this story is that the mainstream media has been almost completely silent on Church’s fate—which may cost him his career by simply expressing his biblical beliefs along with medical facts.
The Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and the Boston office of the Associated Press all acknowledged receiving information about the Dr. Church issue, and all have declined to write about it, despite multiple calls. Nor have any Boston TV stations picked it up.
Probably most disappointing is that Boston’s “conservative” radio talk show host, Jeff Kuhner of WRKO 680 AM, has refused to bring it up it on his show, despite numerous requests. Given the wide range of conservative topics he brings up on his show, this is very unsettling.
The activist website wrote that this decision bodes ill for all who fight for conservative values.
Public health is under assault by the pro-homosexual movement. In a manner that can almost be considered demonic, medical truth that could affect millions of people is being censored by “educated” doctors obsessed with the lies of political correctness. It brings to mind the mentality of medical people who continue to defend Planned Parenthood after the unspeakable horrors that have been revealed. As always, along with this mindset goes a near-pathological hatred of Judeo-Christian religious belief. Good people must stand up to this.
