Obama celebrates Labor Day by signing another executive order

King-ObamaPeople traditionally spend Labor Day doing something they enjoy and President Obama appears to be sticking to tradition.

While many will spend Labor Day barbecuing, the president will be celebrating by doing one of his favorite things– making a kingly decree.

The president will sign an executive order Monday ordering paid sick leave for employees of federal contractors.

Under the order, employees will receive one hour of leave for every 30 hours worked, up to seven days for a calendar year.

How much the order will end up costing federal contractors was not addressed by the White House.

The law will take effect in 2017, after Obama has left office.

How many of these executive “time bombs” is the Lyin’ King going to plant before he thankfully leaves office? The successor in the WH will have to navigate a veritable IED corridor thanks to Barry!! Hmmm…the influence of Valerie is palpable!

    Really BizPac?!

  4. ONLYJB1 says:

How many contractor companies will this put out of business? Or how much will they have to increase their pricing to over come this new order?
    Destroy, destroy, destroy.

My reply to RealityBites contained no profanity, lewdness, etc. Is your censor leaning slightly left today?

Not likely, but on occasion it does stumble on a word in the auto admin. If you think it’s bad here just got to WorldNetDaily. WorldNetDaily uses their own acronym of “WND”, but if you have “WND” in one of your posts it gets blocked! How nuts is that? :o)

you said “The law will take effect in 2017, after Obama has left office.”
An executive order is NOT a law.

    1. tedlv says:

Nor is a SCOTUS decision, but it’s starting to look like both are being thought of as law.

      1. bluwaterkayaker says:

yes, that is why we must speak out against it, even to the point of ad naseum.

        1. tbird90sc says:

Speaking seems to be about as effective as chipping away at a brick wall with a toothpick with these people.

It’s not so much that you will convince any hard-core leftist to change their mind. It’s an attempt to prevent leftists from controlling the narrative, bec. once those words mean something different, it’s almost impossible to go back.

This is a non sequitur response, but when I took latin many years ago, ad nauseum was the correct spelling and 10 yrs ago I was criticized for it because a google search had turned up a “correction” to ad nauseam. At that time, I found in a similar search, that your(and my) spelling was the correct one, but now, no we are wrong. Do you have an old text that shows we are correct? My latin grammar book is long gone….

He don’t need no durned Legislative Branch. He will enforce the laws he likes, ignore the ones he don’t like, and make a few new ones just cause he wants to!

    1. Arleen Taylor says:

An executive order is not a law. It applies only to the policy of federal organizations. For example, the President can order federal contractors to be paid a certain minimum wage, but he can’t change the minimum wage for private companies.
