Ever so conscious of his legacy in presidential annals, President Barack Obama set two milestones over the weekend.

And neither involved real work.

CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller took to social media to point out that Obama played his 250th round of golf since being elected to office, and attended his 443rd fundraiser.

Sunny and 83°. Pres Obama is playing golf at @AndrewsAirForce. By my count, his 250th round as pres, his 90th at Andrews.

Knoller opted to put things into a more favorable perspective for the president by comparing the number of times Obama has golfed with that of some of his predecessors — over half a century ago. Interestingly, Knoller also shared how many times Obama’s immediate predecessor, George W. Bush, played golf:

At 250 rounds of golf, Pres Obama compares to nearly 800 rounds by Pres Eisenhower and more than 1,200 rounds by Woodrow Wilson.

Pres. GWBush played only 24 rounds as pres., none after Oct 13, 2003. He felt it inappropriate when US was at war.

Milestone or not, social media users were not all that impressed, with one user wondering how bad off the country would be if Obama “actually worked.”
