‘On her knees’ comment taken out of context; ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ contestant defends Trump

A former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant and Playboy Playmate who was the subject of the “on her knees” remark made by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is coming to his defense.

During the GOP presidential debate Thursday, Fox News host Megyn Kelly asked Trump to explain a comment he made during a segment of his reality show that it would be “a pretty picture to see her on her knees,” referring to Brande Roderick, a contestant.

In a telephone interview on MSNBC’s “Live with Thomas Roberts” on Friday, Roderick said she hadn’t even recalled the incident.

“Like him, I didn’t even remember him saying that,” Roderick said. “I’ve always had a positive experience around Donald. He’s always been encouraging. He’s never been disrespectful to me.”

She added that Trump’s remark wasn’t made out of desrespect, but rather was an attempt at humor.

“I don’t condone men being derogatory, but I think he’s just on television. He’s trying to be funny. He didn’t mean anything horrible by it.”

This video shows that Kelly took Trump’s remark out of context:

Why are you so determined to push your theory that men are superior to women? I guess it is you who has what some refer to “penis envy.” Actually, I suspect you are a man hiding behind a woman’s skirts. Because you are not merely anti-feminist, you are anti-women. That is truly disturbing and self-punishing if you are a woman with such serious self-esteem problems.

And my husband cleans out the litter box.

(Psst….lots and lots of people care about and have benefited from the work of Madame Curie.) Marie Curie was born into a family of educators. Growing up in the Victorian era, she had to study underground because she wasn’t ALLOWED to be accepted into the men-only University of Warsaw. She became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only woman to win the award in two different fields (physics and chemistry). Curie’s efforts, with her husband Pierre Curie, led to the discovery of polonium and radium and, after Pierre’s death, the development of X-rays. She ultimately was responsible for the development of a key medical therapy. But I guess you haven’t had the need to benefit of radiation therapy. Consider yourself fortunate.

And what does Ms. Kelly do to pull in viewers and increase her ratings? She strategically places herself at the desk with her short skirt, stiletto heels and legs prominently displayed. Trump brings in viewers and ratings by being loud, bossy and attempting humor on his TV show. I’d say Ms. Kelly is a hypocrite. What Trump does on his TV show to raise his ratings is irrelevant to talk about in a political arena.
