Letter to the editor:
It’s late, I’m tired, grumpy, and just finished watching Fox News’ Republican presidential nomination debate.
The opening sequence of the 9 p.m. segment had the Fox inquisitors out-Democrating MSNBC.
They were baiting the candidates and appearing hostile to them by placing them up against the wall for their previous statements; putting the spotlight on their weaknesses and trying to provoke them, especially Donald Trump. It’s something Candy Crowley could have done.
Kudos to Gov. Walker for trying to realign questions to relate to Hillary and the Democrat Party. Any of the umpteen Republican candidates would be superior to either Hillary, Bernie or Marty, hands down.
Were NBC, CBS, MSNBC, PBS or ABC hosting a debate among Democrat candidates, there would have been more softball questions to give a positive image of each. Sorry, I had the impression that Fox was in our ballpark. Apparently they want to show how “fair and balanced” they are.
At 11:30 p.m., I am disappointed with Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier.
Juan Williams couldn’t have been worse.
Do you agree or do you think the moderators were fair?
