‘A disgrace’: Baltimore mayor POUNDED for firing ‘scapegoat’ police commissioner

The clown show in Baltimore opened a new chapter on Wednesday when Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced the firing of Police Commissioner Anthony Batts.

Her reasoning for dumping Batts was that his presence had become a distraction in a city that is experiencing a dramatic surge in crime following the riots in April.

“Too many continue to die on our streets, including three just last night and one lost earlier today,” Rawlings-Blake said. “Families are tired of feeling this pain, and so am I. … We need a change.”

This coming from the woman who played a big role in deflating police morale in Baltimore when she ordered officers to stand down during rioting in April, later saying the city “gave those who wished to destroy space to do that.”
