Aspiring police officer arrested on rigid gun charges gets pardon from Gov. Chris Christie

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie righted a wrong by fixing a case of gun control out of control.

The possible 2016 Republican presidential hopeful pardoned aspiring police officer Steffon Josey-Davis, who was arrested in 2013 for having his legally owned firearm in his glove compartment.

Entire police dept. disbanded after councilwoman and her son were arrested.

According to Fox News Insider:

Steffon Josey-Davis was cleaning his gun back in 2013 when his 6-year-old sister walked in. He didn’t want her around the gun, so he said he put the firearm in his glove compartment and forgot about it.

Hours later, Josey-Davis was pulled over, and he told police that he had a gun in his glove compartment. Police took the gun and told him to pick it up the next day.

When he showed up for his gun, he was cuffed and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

Josey-Davis, who had been working as an armed security guard, legally purchased the gun, but did not yet have the permit to carry it.

Josey-Davis was elated when he learned of the pardon Monday morning.

“I feel great,” he told Fox News adding how thankful he was for their support.

He said he still planned on being a law enforcement officer.was grateful to Christie for the pardon.

“If he runs for president, he has my vote,” he said.
