America’s favorite spokeswoman is getting a promotion!

The truth-challenged State Department mouthpiece Marie Harf is moving on up to become Secretary of State John Kerry’s “senior advisor for strategic communications” specializing in Kerry’s negotiations over the Iranian nuclear talk, the department announced Tuesday.

And social media commenters could barely contain themselves.

The hapless Harf has made a name for herself among the Washington press corps and Americans in general with her pronouncements on American foreign policy — the classic “we can’t kill our way out of this war” is particularly memorable — so the idea that she’ll be taking over communications involving a country that has sworn “death to America” for two generations now.
