SLAM! Rand Paul crushes Debbie Wasserman Schultz in abortion fight — with her OWN words

As polls show Americans becoming increasingly pro-life, the left is getting more strident in its support for abortion. The abortion debate came to a head Wednesday in a back-and forth by pro-life Sen. Rand Paul, and pro-choice Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

And the Kentucky Republican’s last word was devastating.

It started when Paul was asked during a news conference in New Hampshire what restriction he would place on abortion at a news conference in New Hampshire. Clearly prepared for the question — which could have come right from the Democratic National Committee talking points, he hammered the ball into the Democrats’ court. (About the 8-minute mark.)

“What’s the DNC [Democratic National Committee] say?” he asked.

“Why don’t we ask the DNC if it’s OK to kill a seven-pound baby in uterus,” he told the reporters. “You go back and you ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she’s OK with killing a seven-pound baby that has just not been born yet.”

In addition to being a Democratic Florida congresswoman, Wasserman Schultz is DNC chairwoman.

The answer wasn’t long in coming. CNN Politics senior reporter Chris Moody tweeted:

Moody then wondered:

Daniel Darling, communications vice president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention was appalled:

Another had his own question for Wasserman Schultz.

Then Paul got a chance to nail the point home in an interview with Wolf Blitzer later Wednesday.

That’s a DNC talking point the American public isn’t buying — and isn’t going to, no matter what the libs and their media cheerleaders like to believe.

Wasserman Schultz apparently pays little attention to polls. If she did, her reply would have been more circumspect. A recent CBS presidential election News poll included a survey on the issues. It found that the majority of Americans — 59 percent — want abortion either banned altogether, or at least restricted.

The Democrat nirvana of  “abortion on demand, at any time and for any reason” has given way to a more civilized era — and has left Wasserman Schultz at the bus stop.
