Easter at the White House: Michelle Obama gets in stretch pants, shakes her rump

Michelle OThe 137th annual Easter Egg Roll festivities drew an estimated 35,000 people to the White House Monday morning.

Years of tradition and decorum were abandoned as the first lady Michelle Obama took the opportunity to shake her tail feather in front of cameras once again.

A choreographed routine with the “So You Think You Can Dance” All Stars gave the world another opportunity to witness what has become of the once-dignified position of the first lady of the United States of America.

Last week, the dancing queen made an appearance on the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to shake it for the late night crowd in “The Evolution of Mom Dancing Part 2” routine. Not long before that, she was getting down on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Is it too much to ask FLOTUS to remember who she is and what she represents? There is nothing wrong with dancing, of course, but can’t you wait until you are not the first lady to be an entertainer?  It cheapens the highest office of the land, an office that she doesn’t have the right to damage.

Has no one — not the first lady, her considerable staff, or even her husband — considered that a loss of reverence and respect is no small thing?
