Conservative crushes MSNBC’s Ed Schultz — so Schultz kills his mic!

When a lib is losing an argument, he cheats.

Heritage Foundation Fellow Ryan Anderson was mopping the floor with Ed Schultz on MSNBC’s “The Ed Show” Tuesday, schooling the bombastic lib on the finer points of Indiana’s new religious freedom law when Schultz simply ordered his technical staff to cut off Anderson’s microphone.

To be fair, Schultz didn’t have much of an option, since Anderson had already proved him wrong on every point in the debate:

The Indiana law liberals are pretending to loathe today is the same law at a state level that Democrat darling Bill Clinton signed for the federal government in 1993.

Liberal complaints that the Indiana law grants corporations the same religious freedom rights as individuals hold are nonsense since corporations beloved by libs like The New York Times and Schultz’s own MSNBC have First Amendment rights.

And Anderson wouldn’t be baited by Schultz’s nauseating fiction that the law would give restaurant owners the right to kick gay and lesbian couples off their property.

“Please point to names who are saying restaurant owners should be kicking gay and lesbian people out of restaurants,” he said. “You’re demagoguing!”

And how did Schultz try to prove he wasn’t a demagogue? He ordered Anderson’s microphone silenced.

“Cut his mic off. I’m not going to — I gave him a chance,” he said. “We’ll bring him back if he wants to be courteous.”

After Schultz squelched the dissenting voice, he turned to opponents of the law and got an earful of abuse directed at Indiana Gov. Mike Pence from an Indiana Democrat lawmaker.

Then Anderson got another chance, but first he had to hear Schultz’s insinuations that major corporations and institutions – from Apple to the NFL – disagreed with the law, so it had to be wrong.

Again, Anderson knocked Shultz back.

“If there’s anyone intolerant in this debate, it seems to be the left,” he said.

Same as it ever was.
