Sarah Palin delivered a message to any American thinking of going overseas to join a terrorist organization: Stay out.
In a post Friday on her Facebook page, the former Alaska governor and outspoken conservative said anyone who joins terror groups should have their citizenships revoked.
“As crazy as it sounds, a U.S. citizen who leaves this country to join ISIS, al Qaeda, or any other terrorist organization does not immediately lose his or her citizenship,” she wrote. “That needs to change!”
Palin also posted a video of herself saying the New York arrest of three men who were looking to fly to Syria join the Islamic State “should be a wake-up call for Americans.”
The 9/11 attacks, the Boston Marathon bombing and the Fort Hood shooting were all examples of radical Islam rearing its ugly head on American soil, she said.
“The threat of radical Islam is real. It’s growing, and ignoring it won’t make it go away,” Palin said. “How many more wake-up calls do we need?”
