Could NASCAR legend’s powerful, BLUNT message have triggered Obama’s angry anti-Christian rant?

It’s likely that in his lifetime President Obama has been instructed – in one way or another – about going to hell.

Particularly from Conservatives.

Also likely that  NASCAR Hall of Fame legend Darrell Waltrip’s keynote speech at the National Prayer Breakfast Thursday probably didn’t cause the president’s meltdown heard round the world.

But Waltrip did deliver a powerful message far more in line with the thoughts of Americans than that of Obama, who stood mere feet away.

“If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, you are going to hell,” he said.

Waltrip was the Keynote speaker at the event where he told the attendees how growing in Christian faith changed his life.

He said that he did everything to satisfy himself and often told his wife he did have time for “this church stuff.”

That was until one fateful day on the race track when he crashed and came face to face with death.

“That wreck knocked me conscience. It scared the hell out of me. I mean that literally. I realized, what if I had lost my life that day at Daytona? Would I have go to heaven or would I have gone to hell? I thought I was a good guy, but folks, let me tell you something: good guys go to hell,” he told the crowd.

“If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, if you don’t have a relationship, if he’s not the master of your life, if you’ve never gotten on your knees and asked him to forgive you of your sins, or if you are just a pretty good guy or a pretty good gal, you’re going to go to hell,” Waltrip added.

He even took a shot at the president being more careful about who he invites since Dr. Ben Carson gave a speech critical of Obama at the 2013 breakfast.

“I thought about it Mr. President, and I got it: I’m not a brain surgeon and I’m not running for office, so I’m the perfect guy to be here,” he said jokingly.

A far cry from the speech Obama gave moments later equating the Christian Crusades of nearly 1,000 years ago to islamic terrorism today.

Maybe Waltrip hit a nerve.
