Super Bowl ‘like a girl’ ad launches bizarre ‘like a boy’ hashtag on Twitter

Not-so-subtle feminist-themed Super Bowl ads spurred #LikeABoy to trend on Twitter during Sunday’s big game.

One such ad was a repeat of last year’s “Always” campaign that interviews young people on what it means to “throw and run like a girl.”

The ad quickly gained notoriety in 2014, and made another appearance during this year’s Super Bowl.

The anti-feminist, “Meninist” movement took notice of the female empowerment ad and was instrumental in firing back at the social media #LikeAGirl hashtag.

#LikeABoy began to take on a life of its own.

Apparently pi—ing off the feminists is not hard to do.

Isn’t having a counterpart hashtag to #LikeAGirl the very definition of equality? Not according to this lady:

Unfortunately for Yolanda and other fledgling feminists, it seems they’ve inadvertently inspired a growing “Meninist” movement that seems to be up for a long and ugly virtual fight.
